Wolf Creek Falls
Photos from two different trips to Wolf Creek Falls in Cherokee National Forest. The first trip was in August, 2013, and I got there from the south, driving along miles of increasingly narrow and rougher FS roads. With a high clearance vehicle, you can get within 0.3 miles of the falls. A second trip was made a month later, via the hiking route from the trailhead that is located 7 miles west of Hot Springs, NC. You can also reach the trailhead from the end of Upper Shut-In Creek Road, which turns north off US70 2 3/4 miles west of Hot Springs. Upper Shut In road winds up the Shut In Creek valley. Parking for one or two cars is located at the very end of the road, about 5 miles from Hwy 70.
